It's almost here already! Perhaps you have once taken up the challenge yourself, or at least heard of it: the New Year's Dive. What once started in 1960 as a playful action with just eight brave participants has grown into a national phenomenon. Every year on 1 January at the stroke of 12:00, some 60,000 adventurers immerse themselves in the ice-cold water, scattered at home and abroad. It is a beautiful ritual that celebrates guts and enthusiasm. Dive in with your family and friends. Come and join the excitement as we usher in the new year together! Whether you participate in the dive or just come to cheer, the New Year dive promises to be an enjoyable activity.
Traditionally, the event starts at BillyBob with registration. It is also possible to do this in advance, via inschrijven.nl (until 30-12), see the QR code on the flyer. When you register/register on 1 January, you will receive your band and a nice original detail to dive with. By showing this band you will receive hot chocolate after the dive, on the beach. The detail is nice for the photos that will be taken.
Programme:
You are welcome between 11:30 and 12:45 to sign up (after online registration) or register at Billy Bob's. The cost is €2.50 per participant. Registration closes at 12:45.
Firma Beers will provide changing trolleys on site. You can change and/or leave your things in these.
From 12:55 -13:00 there will be a nice warm-up by RVS Leefstijl.
Exactly 13:00 the starting signal will be given for the 48th Dorper New Year's Dive.
After the dive, warm chocolate milk will be available for the divers (on presentation of your wristband), provided by Paal 6. The stand/table will be near the changing trolleys.
From 13:15 we will see you back at BillyBob for a nice chat and the pennants / tiles (for the jubilees) can be collected. Of course you can have a drink here, toast to the performance or express your good intentions! Great fun!
Participation is possible from any age, but because we do have to deal with safety, we ask children under 12 to dive with an older supervisor. In case of any incident, EHBO Koegras and the Reddingsbrigade will be on site to provide assistance. We dive in the sea at beach entry Paal 6 Julianadorp (entrance at BillyBob).
