Flower Days Anna Paulowna - Breedzand 2024
From Saturday 20 April to Wednesday 24 April 2024, Anna Paulowna and its surroundings will again be in full bloom and the 69th edition of the Flower Days will take place. Mosaics, moving works, decorated streets and bridges can be admired throughout the polder during the Flower Days.
Mosaic
Mosaics are paintings made on tempex. On it, hyacinth nails are pricked with pins. On every square meter there are 10,000 flowers. You can imagine that making a mosaic involves a lot of work! Both young and old make the mosaics. They are real works of art, which are displayed in the gardens of the makers during the Flower Days. With a list of participants and a map, which you can pick up free of charge at the information post or from the information booths on the side of the road, you can determine your own route and drive along the artworks with your own transport (bicycle, car, motorcycle).
Extracurricular activities In the evening, most mosaics, bridges and streets are illuminated. That's a beautiful sight! You complete your day out with a visit to one of the many exhibitions, flea markets and other fun activities. During the Flower Days, puzzle rides and workshops are also organized, in which you can participate free of charge. During the Flower Days there is plenty to see, do and experience for young and old.
Prices
From 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, jury cars with jury members will drive through the entire polder to judge the mosaics divided into various categories. The categories are: adult mosaics, the future (young people between 13 and 20 years), youth mosaics (children up to 13 years), workpieces, bridge decorations, street decorations, Own Home & Garden / objects, Companies in Colour, music price and the fantasy price. This day is also the award ceremony (more information will follow). The winner can call himself Dutch Champion. This day is the end of a pleasant week of pricking and the start of 5 days of fleurheid in the Polder!
You are welcome to visit this colourful event. From Julianadorp it is about 10 minutes by bike, pack "het Pondje" over the canal and cycle into the colorful and transformed Annapowlona. The Flower Days is a free event. We look forward to seeing you at the Flower Days!
